Exciting stuff…

So first things first, my first weigh in Wednesday showed no change, but I was in the middle of TTOM so I wasn’t surprised. But as of today, 600 grams down so WOO HOO!

I have now booked my flights and accommodation for the next Finale workout and party and added a little side trip.  Since we are going to South Australia, I have decided to confront one of my greatest fears and book a trip to Port Lincoln.  For those who watch Discovery Channel, you may understand the significance of this location. For those who don’t, there is one thing that you go there to see, the Great White Shark.  I am going shark diving.  I have dived with crocs, patted a lion cub (not scary at all, I LOVE cats!) and had a python draped around my neck, but this is THE big one.  I have always been terrified of sharks.  It is the third of my big scary phobias starting with “s” (sorry, but I am a teacher, I relate to phonics), snakes, spiders and sharks.  I feel like doing this is facing the Big Kahuna of my fears.  My 22 year old nephew says the next step is holding a spider in my hand but that ain’t gonna happen…and I am not telling my mother about the shark dive until I can show her the pics.

As an aside, booked tix for myself and my nephew to see Bon Jovi today..OMG!

I have now started Couch 5k properly and have completed the first two workouts.  In the first, I did 4.24km in 30 mins and then today in workout number two I did 4.31km.  That means that in workout 1 I averaged 7.04 minutes per km and today 6.57 minutes per km. I have no idea (maybe someone can tell me) but I thought that was reasonable, especially in just 2 runs. The run today felt good and I was comfortable. I hope the time and distance is not completely sucky.

Next week, full throttle back into Zumba and Pump again. And here’s to watching the weight melt away….


  1. I love your upbeat attitude about everything! That is amazing you are going shark diving!! Wow! Good luck with that. And, I with you all the best with your fitness endeavors. I’m so impressed. 😉
